1) Overview

Shortte (“Shortte”, “Shortte.com”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is the website and brand that provides URL shortening, link management, and related functionality for professional use. The Service is operated by DRAGOS BOROIANU PFA, Romania, Iasi, Sos. Nicolina. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of our websites, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2) Eligibility & Accounts

• Age. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
• Account responsibility. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it updated.
• Organization use. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

3) Plan, Pricing & Billing

• Paid service. Shortte is not free. We offer a single paid plan that provides unrestricted access to available features (subject to fair‑use and technical limits).
• Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel prior to renewal in your account settings.
• Merchant of Record. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record (MOR). You agree to any Paddle buyer terms, and acknowledge Paddle computes, collects, and remits applicable taxes (e.g., VAT/GST) where required.
• Price changes. We may change prices prospectively with reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4) 30‑Day Money‑Back Guarantee

• Eligibility. If Shortte isn’t right for you, you may request a refund within 30 days of your first payment.
• Limitations. Only first‑time payments are refundable under this policy. Renewal payments, plan changes, add‑ons, and subsequent charges are not eligible.
• How to request. Email [email protected]. Refunds are returned to the original payment method per Paddle’s timelines.

5) Support

We provide support via email at [email protected] and via LiveChat on the website/app. If no agent is online, you can leave a message in the chat widget and a ticket will be created automatically. We strive to respond promptly and professionally.

6) Acceptable Use (Zero‑Tolerance on Abuse)

We enforce a zero‑tolerance policy for abuse. You agree not to use the Service to:

• Distribute spam, phishing campaigns, scams, or deceptive advertising.
• Link to malware, exploits, drive‑by downloads, or any content that harms or intends to harm others or their devices.
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, or violate applicable laws or regulations.
• Harass, threaten, or incite violence; promote hate or discrimination; share sexual or exploitative content involving minors.
• Impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation, or mask link destinations to evade safety systems.
• Circumvent security measures, probe or scan systems, overload the Service, or interfere with normal operations.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted by us in writing.

We may immediately suspend or terminate accounts and remove or disable links that violate these Terms or create risk, at our sole discretion, without refund (except where required by the refund policy above).

7) Features, API & Fair Use

• Features. The plan may include link creation/management, analytics, QR codes, branded domains, and API access (where available). We may add, modify, or retire features.
• API use. If API access is provided, you must use valid credentials, respect rate limits, and avoid abusive or excessive requests.
• Fair‑use. To keep the Service reliable, we may apply reasonable technical limits (e.g., request rates, storage, analytics sampling). If your usage is unusually high, we may contact you to optimize or discuss alternatives.

8) Your Content & Link Destinations

• Ownership. You retain ownership of content and destination URLs you submit.
• License to operate the Service. You grant us a non‑exclusive license to store, process, display, and transmit your content as needed to operate the Service.
• Responsibility. You are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and safety of link destinations and any data you process via the Service.
• Safety actions. We may warn, interstitial, disable, or redirect links that pose risk or violate these Terms.

9) Privacy, Cookies & Data

Our data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. We use cookies as described in our Cookies Policy. By using the Service, you consent to such processing and cookie usage.

10) Intellectual Property

• Our IP. Shortte, including all software, logos, and content we provide (excluding your content), is protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.
• Feedback. If you provide ideas or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty‑free license to use them without restriction.

11) Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect the Service. However, no system is perfect. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and promptly notifying us of any suspected compromise.

12) Availability & Modifications

We aim for high availability, but the Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time, with or without notice.

13) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR‑FREE, SECURE, OR THAT LINKS WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE OR SAFE.

14) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHORTTE/SHORTTE.COM, ITS CREATOR/MAINTAINER, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN THE AGGREGATE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

15) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shortte and its creator/maintainer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your links, or your use of the Service in violation of these Terms.

16) Termination

• By you. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid term.
• By us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these Terms, risk to users, non‑payment, fraud, or as required by law.
• Effect. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification) will survive.

17) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via reasonable means (e.g., in‑app notice or email). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, excluding conflict‑of‑laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York.
